JOSEPHINE OBOH MACLEOD joined politics because she believe that Politics and humanitarianism have ties. She joined the Conservative and Unionist Party because she believes in their aims and objectives. Moreover, the ideology and manifesto of the party suits her aspirations as a politician and humanitarian.
The empowerment of our youths and the conservation of our environment are her main objectives. She also want to see women active in Politics.
United Kingdom is one of the world’s leading countries when it comes to having female leaders. Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May are inspiration to women in Politics around the world. However, Josephine believes that, more has to be done to further break the glass ceiling for women. "There is need to have more representation of women in senior political positions".
Furthermore, she constantly engages the Conservative Party on issues relating to the youths, elderly, women and people with challenges.
