Josephine Oboh Macleod is a Politician, Entrepreneur, Humanitarian, Art Consultant, Facilitator & Project manager, Director at Johfrim Art & Design. Founder & Trustee (JOM Charity (SCIO) SC048839) based in Milngavie Town Centre. A charity organization dealing with Well-being, Human Rights and Humanitarian work.

She is a member of Scottish Women in Business, Milngavie Art Club, Wee Scottish Art Club, Milngavie BID (Business Improvement District with over 150 local businesses as joint members). and board member and Secretary to Scottish Conservative Friends of BAME in charge of fundraising.

Ideology

we should all have the right and freedom to fully participate in every political process. Moreover, every little helps, hence, contributing our little quota by helping the less privileged around us will ensure a better community for all.

She is also an active member of the Milngavie community and have participated in various art and Design apprentices programs, consultancy, project management activities internationally and now locally with over twenty years of experience in various capacities.

She is the first woman of African descent to hustings as councillorship candidate for the ward of Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire, United kingdom. Under the Scottish Conservatives.


She joined The Conservative and Unionist Party because she believe in the party’s values, aims, and manifesto. Moreover, she campaign actively for the Conservative party during the last parliamentary elections for most of the candidates, most especially Pam Gosal, who was elected as MSP for West Scotland Region in May 2021 and most recently for Paul Collins who won the Lomond North bye elections etc.

She has been in the art world for forty years, graced Art gallery and Art exhibition across the world with her works and has over 6,000 collections.

She is a multi talented, experienced entrepreneur who is hands on and result oriented project manager with years of business experience and humanitarian work.

It is time for Scotland to move forward,together.

Activities

Josephine Oboh Macleod is renowned in her charitable and voluntary activities. Mostly in facilitating, consultative and developmental roles. She has facilitated various charitable and voluntary activities in Gavin’s Mill, Milngavie, St Paul’s Church, Milngavie, The Glasgow Academy, Milngavie Old Peoples Welfare, Baldernock Childcare, Milngavie Manor Carehome, The National Lottery, Tesco, Milngavie, etc.

Furthermore, she coordinated and facilitated one-month-long community activity sponsored by The National Lottery Community Funds in Milngavie in September 2021titled JOM Charity Afro-Celtic Art Exhibition. She has also worked with Tesco Milngavie to Celebrate Scottish national poets (bards) Robert Burns.

 

Education

She is an alumnus of Newman Prep School, Boston, USA, Newbury College, Boston, Mass, USA, where she obtained a degree in hospitality management and later pursued her Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom.

She Furthered her education by studying Art at London Art College, Photography and Jessop Academy, UK. Epson Master Printing Course, UK.

 

Leisure/ Hubby

Her leisure pursuit is gardening, golf, art, photography, & cooking.

She is an active member of Milngavie, kirkintilloch and other communities. She has also participated in various Art and Design apprentices’ programs, consultancy, project management activities Both locally and internationally with over twenty years of experience in various capacities.
